Local supermarket (ICA Supermarket)

After lunch, it was time for the first trip to the supermarket. There are no grocery shops in the walking distance so going by car is the best option. I was pleasantly surprised that you could find most of the ingredients here and the prices were mostly slightly cheaper than the local supermarkets in Stockholm that I normally go to.

At 4pm, everyone met for ice skating on the frozen lake outside of the castle. There were plenty of skates to borrow so all of us could enjoy this super fun outdoor activity. It’s getting warm here so this might have been one of the last times for awhile at least, cause I bet it will get very cold again soon.

VegChef Kitchen
Danish Cinnamon Rolls

At 5:30pm, it was finally time to spend some time in the VegChef kitchen and bake danish cinnamon rolls together. Chef Kasper prepared the dough already so there wasn’t too much work except for cutting, baking and later glazing the rolls.
When I heard we would bake cinnamon rolls, I assumed it would be the Swedish ones that are more like fluffy buns, so when I tried them I wasn’t sure what to think. The Danish and Swedish version are so different, and I thought for a second that this was a failed attempt at making the Swedish ones. It’s kind of funny how the perception and experience of something can change based on the expectations we have. The cinnamon rolls were a failed version of the Swedish ones, but a super tasty version of the Danish rolls.

The day ended with playing badminton in the sport hall. What a wonderful day!
